The Crestwood Garden Club was honored as the recipient of the Ima Hogg Volunteer Service Award recognizing its contribution to the design and maintenance of a garden in Memorial Park. The Club, established in 1947, received the only award given to a garden club. Cindy Broiles and Deborah Brown accepted the crystal trophy at the Memorial Park Conservancy Gala which was held on Feb 5, 2015. Members have contributed to the beautification of Nicole’s Way, a garden created as a place for contemplation and meditation. Club members have devoted their service to weeding, planting, spreading pine straw, raking crushed granite and scrubbing benches. The Crestwood Club made a commitment to create a place of beauty that benefits everyone who uses Memorial Park. Congratulations and thanks to The Crestwood Garden Club for a job well done!
